New Recipient

Add someone you'd like to leave a message for.

What We Need

A name and an email. A relationship (like Daughter) helps you tell people apart. A phone number is optional but makes delivery more reliable.

• Only the details needed to reach them are stored (§ privacy).
• You can edit or remove this person at any time.
• They're told what MARAEL is and can ask to be removed themselves.

What Happens Next

Nothing happens to them now. Their details simply wait until a message you addressed to them is delivered — they don't need the app or an account beforehand.

Verifier or Recipient — Never Both

The same person can't hold both roles for you. A verifier decides whether messages are released; a recipient receives one. If the email already belongs to the other role, we'll tell you so you can pick someone else.
