Emergency Contact
An optional fourth person — the one we turn to before anyone else, simply to find out whether you're alright.
What They Do
If you've been silent for a long time, we reach out to them well before your verifiers. Their only job is to try to reach you, or to buy you a little more time.
- They're contacted first, long before anything can be delivered.
- They can extend the timer while they look for you.
- They're your strongest protection against a false alarm.
What They Cannot Do
They can't confirm your passing — only your three verifiers can, and only two of them together. They never see your messages, and they don't hold any part of the key.
What We Need
A name and an email. A phone number is optional but helps us reach them faster when it matters.
Removing Them
You can remove or replace this person at any time. Without an emergency contact everything still works — you simply lose one gentle step before your verifiers are asked.
