Message
Everything about this one message: who it's for, when it will be delivered, and how you can open it yourself.
What You See at the Top
Three facts about the message.
- Recipient — the person who will one day receive it.
- Delivery — when it's sent: after you're gone, after you're gone plus N years, or on a fixed date.
- Created — when you recorded it.
Opening Your Own Message
Tap “View my message”. The message is decrypted right here on your phone with your own key, and then plays: video in the player, audio with its controls, text on screen. Nobody else can do this — not your verifiers, and not us.
- The decrypted copy exists only while the screen is open, then it's wiped.
- Our servers only ever hold unreadable ciphertext.
- If you recorded it on another device, it's fetched securely and decrypted here.
Deleting a Message
Deleting removes the message everywhere — the encrypted copy on our servers too — and frees up your storage. It can't be undone, and the person it was meant for will never receive it.
