Messages

This screen is the heart of MARAEL — your recorded messages and your check-in status live here. Nothing is delivered while you're alive and checking in.

Check-in — "I'm Here"

The card at the top shows how many days until the app asks you to confirm you're okay again. One tap on "I'm here" (or simply opening the app) is enough. As long as you check in, none of your verifiers are contacted.

• Reminders are gentle and only escalate after months of silence.
• You can extend the interval when you're traveling or in the hospital.
• Only after a long silence are your 3 verifiers contacted.

Your Messages

Each message is a video, audio, or text for a specific recipient. Tap one to open it, edit it, or change who receives it and when.

• Video / Audio / Text — choose what fits.
• You assign a recipient while recording.
• Delivery: after death, after death +N years, or on a fixed date.

Privacy

Messages are encrypted right on your phone. Our servers hold only unreadable ciphertext — we can't read them. They can be unlocked only when two of your three verifiers work together, and only after your death has been confirmed.
